Who is Dhruv Jurel?
Dhruv Jurel is a resident of Agra, Uttar Pradesh. Right now he is only 22 years old. He was included in the Indian team in the Under-19 World Cup 2020. Here Tilak Verma of Mumbai Indians and Yashasvi Jaiswal of Rajasthan Royals were his fellow players. The Indian team was the runner-up in that World Cup. In the mega auction for IPL 2022, Rajasthan made him a part of their squad at a base price of Rs 20 lakh. He was also a part of Rajasthan’s squad last season, although he could not get a chance to debut.
Dhruv Jurel made his debut in first class cricket in February 2022 itself. So far he has scored 587 runs in 11 first class matches at an average of 48.91 in 14 innings. This includes one century and three half-centuries. Dhruv Jurel plays the role of wicketkeeping along with fast batting. He is a fan of wicket-keeper batsman MS Dhoni and AB de Villiers and considering these two as ideals, he is pursuing his cricketing career.
